  4. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the electric power industry, with a preference for those with a working knowledge of WESM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify trends and patterns in electricity markets.
  • Price Simulation: Utilize appropriate tools and methodologies to conduct electricity price simulation and forecasting, supporting decision-making processes.
  • Report Generation: Generate and submit comprehensive reports on a daily and weekly basis, detailing trading operations, market trends, and relevant market updates.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the trading group and contribute to the development and implementation of efficient workflows and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all market transactions adhere to the rules and regulations set by the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market.
  • Database Management: Regularly update the trading database with relevant market data, transaction details, and other information necessary for efficient trading operations.
  • Customer Coordination: Collaborate with customers to coordinate and manage bilateral contract quantities, ensuring precise communication and alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with system operators, market operators, and plant operation personnel to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations, address operational issues, and ensure compliance with market regulations.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other functions related to Commercial Operations as may be assigned from time to time.
