Financial Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a crucial role in supporting growth and providing accurate, timely information to decision-makers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial analysis, with experience leading month-end close processes and intercompany accounting. They will be responsible for pulling and analyzing reports from Xero, building and maintaining Excel-based financial models, and consolidating reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and deliver reliably. They will be a trusted partner to leadership, delivering confidence and clarity around numbers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Pull and analyze reports from Xero, building and maintaining Excel-based financial models (including three-way forecasting).
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and cost control cycle.
  • Manage intercompany journals, transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Consolidate reporting across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
  • Reconcile subscription revenue using Stripe data, ensuring accuracy in recurring revenue streams.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights that help shape business decisions.
Requirements
  • CA or CPA qualified with Australia or New Zealand experience.
  • Minimum 3-4 years accounting and financial analysis experience.
  • Experience leading month-end close processes – end to end, and intercompany accounting and reporting.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Exposure to SaaS or subscription revenue models (preferred but not essential—can be taught).
  • Experience with Stripe preferred.
Skills
  • High-level proficiency in Excel, including financial and three-way modeling.
  • Experience with month-end close and intercompany accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and deliver reliably.
