Remote Medical Scribe Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented medical scribe to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of medical terminology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately documenting patient encounters directly into the electronic health record (EHR) during or immediately after visits. They will also be required to prepare and edit patient notes, visit summaries, progress reports, and letters to referring physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Real-time EHR Documentation: Accurately document patient encounters into the EHR during or immediately after visits.
  • Clinical Correspondence & Records: Prepare and edit patient notes, visit summaries, progress reports, and letters to referring physicians.
  • Billing & Insurance Support: Assist with documentation needed for medical necessity, insurance authorization, and claims support.
  • Data Quality, Timeliness & Compliance: Perform accuracy checks for patient identifiers, visit details, and plan of care before submission.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a medical scribe, medical virtual assistant, or healthcare documentation specialist.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with high accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of basic medical terminology (healthcare/clinical context).
  • Proficiency with EHR documentation and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to commit to working 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
