We are actively seeking an accomplished accounting professional to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the accounting department of our client, reporting directly to the Global Controller. Your responsibilities will include taking ownership of accounting at several portfolio companies and serving as a consultant to the portfolio company management teams. These companies have small teams and require assistance with month-end close, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, forecasting, and finance operations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee the entire month-end close process for multiple companies.
  • Record bank transactions and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Prepare general ledger entries and maintain records and files.
  • Assist with monthly general ledger reconciliations.
  • Contribute to the development of new accounting systems, programs, controls, and procedures.
  • Assist with research on technical accounting issues and document findings in accounting memorandums.
  • Assist with monthly intercompany consolidation of financial information between parent and subsidiaries.
  • Assist with annual audit preparations and interact effectively with auditors.
  • Manage corporate credit card programs.
  • Be willing to step in to help with any accounting function if necessary.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
  • Master's degree in related field and/or CPA preferred.
  • 6+ years' experience in accounting required.
  • Experience working with US companies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong relationship skills with ability to work with others at all levels.
  • QuickBooks Online and Xero experience.
