Job Title: Senior WordPress Developer

This role involves the design, development and maintenance of custom WordPress websites. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a variety of web applications using WordPress as a primary platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Front-end Development: Building responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery and PHP.
  • Back-end Development: Configuring and managing WordPress installations, including plugins, themes and extensions.
  • Customization: Creating custom WordPress themes, plugins and functions to meet client requirements.
  • Content Management: Managing and updating website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conducting thorough testing and quality assurance procedures to ensure websites meet project requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of website development, customization and configuration processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in WordPress web development with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • WordPress Expertise: In-depth knowledge of WordPress CMS, themes and plugins.
  • Design Esthetic: Understanding and ability to apply design principles, incorporating client color palettes.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills.
Technical Skills:
  • HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript/jQuery (in the context of WordPress development)
  • Graphics editing and optimization (Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.)
Nice-to-Haves:
  • LMS setup/customization
  • Membership systems
  • Server setup, DNS record maintenance
