Job Opportunity:

We're seeking a skilled Social Media Storyteller to create engaging, news-focused content across various social media platforms.

The ideal candidate is passionate about current events, understands social media trends, and can craft compelling stories that resonate with online communities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality social-first news content, including short news recaps, stitched videos, explainers, fact-checks, and commentary.
  • Conduct thorough research on trending topics and ensure accuracy and credibility in all content.
  • Develop engaging narratives for news stories, scripting and creating a cohesive flow that captivates audiences.
  • Write captivating captions, headlines, and hooks optimized for different platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and formats to ensure content remains relevant and competitive.
  • Transform editorial articles into concise, engaging video content tailored to each platform's best practices.
  • Monitor video performance metrics to refine content strategy and improve engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in content creation, social media management, or digital journalism is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, their audiences, and content trends.
  • Proficiency in video editing and design software.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with ability to distill complex information into clear, audience-friendly stories.
  • Creative thinker with a strong sense of what resonates with digital audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with creative teams.
