Job Description

Assess and analyze creditworthiness of borrowers, evaluating financial statements, cash flow projections, credit reports, and other relevant documents to determine risk associated with residential & commercial mortgage loan applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assess the creditworthiness of borrowers by analyzing their financial stability, repayment capacity, and the quality and value of the underlying collateral.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of the collateral (residential & commercial real estate, equipment, or other assets) to determine its value and marketability.
  • Analyze financial statements of the borrower's business, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to assess the business's ability to generate sufficient cash flow to cover debt service.
  • Understand and evaluate economic and industry-specific factors that may impact the borrower's ability to repay the loan, assessing market trends and competitive dynamics.
  • Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to structure loan terms and conditions that align with the borrower's needs while managing credit risk effectively.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in credit analysis or a similar role within the mortgage or finance industry.
  • Experience in using MyCRM, Infynity, Mercury Nexus, Flex, Salestrekker or other CRM Software in the mortgage broking industry.
  • Proficient in using financial analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of Commercial Loans.
  • Knowledgeable in using lenders' servicing calculators to assess clients' borrowing capacities and ensure loan submissions meet the required policies and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication to convey credit analysis findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
