Geospatial Python Developer RoleJob Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Geospatial Python Developer to contribute to our organization. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in geospatial tools and be proficient in Python programming language.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal tools and scripts using Python to support operational workflows.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes for spatial data into relational databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
  • Automate data transformation and processing pipelines to enhance efficiency and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with operations and product teams to identify opportunities for tool development and automation.
  • Troubleshoot and provide support for internal tools and workflows in both production and development environments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Hands-on experience with geospatial tools such as QGIS, PyQGIS, or GIS libraries like GDAL/OGR, Shapely, or GeoPandas.
  • Demonstrated experience in scripting and automating data processing tasks.
  • Proficient in SQL and relational databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently from concept through to delivery.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Expertise in geospatial technologies and Python programming language.
  • Ability to design, develop, and maintain internal tools and scripts.
