Job Overview

As a Supply Chain Business Development Director at Perfetti Van Melle, you will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships with distributors to enhance service levels and streamline logistics operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Tactical Account Management: Lead regular calls with key distributor accounts to discuss service level agreements, order fulfillment, and timely payments. Conduct on-site visits to address operational concerns and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Customer Service Process Optimization: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as case fill rate, on-time delivery, and payment compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and ensure KPI targets are met.
  • Order Management Excellence: Oversee all distributor transactions, ensuring timely order confirmation, accurate picking advice, and compliant vessel scheduling. Achieve 100% timely and accurate order processing in accordance with company SOP.
  • Returns Management and Process Improvement: Develop solutions to eliminate bottlenecks and improve efficiency. Identify opportunities for customer service efficiency projects focused on distributor account operations.
  • Collaborative Inventory Management: Utilize SSIS data to inform forecasting and stock optimization. Collaborate with demand and supply planning teams, sales, and distributors to drive inventory alignment and ordering process improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in customer service or logistics management within the FMCG industry
  • At least 3 years of experience as a customer service head
  • SAP SD and MM knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
