Automation Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing manual and automated test tools, methodologies, scripts, and executing end-to-end automation and manual test cases, tracking results, and logging defects. You will work in a collaborative environment with a dedicated squad team to drive product quality and ensure that all assigned testing deliverables are met within the sprint and product release.

Key responsibilities include creating test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for both automated and manual testing, developing scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks, contributing to implementing repeatable automated tests during sprints to ensure quality, reduce test execution time, and incorporate automated tests into CI/CD processes.

Additionally, you will plan the budget and labor needs of each sprint and product releases, work in a dedicated squad team, and help drive product quality. You will also ensure that all assigned testing deliverables timelines are met within the sprint and product release, create and communicate test reports for stakeholders, liaise with business users, business analysts, and engineers to ensure that any assigned defects are resolved, maintain awareness of external environments and trends in testing, promote productivity through test automation tools, methodologies, and best practices, and coach and train other team members on manual and automated testing.

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, or equivalent work experience. Additionally, you must have 2+ years of software testing experience (manual and automation), experience with automated testing tool Playwright, experience in both manual and automated testing including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating, and test coverage.

Other essential skills include experience working with external parties and vendors, demonstrated capability to learn and understand a business and its processes and systems in depth, experience with Selenium as well as other tools (e.g., Java, Maven, and Postman), demonstrated skills with REST and SOAP webservices and API testing, familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and parallel test execution, experience testing web, mobile, and windows applications, ability to work across multiple products/platforms/squads, and regular use of a defect and test management system such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
