Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Bookkeeper with advanced expertise in Xero Accounting to lead our financial operations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining accurate and compliant financial records, while providing insightful analysis to inform business decisions.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Operations Management
    1. Oversee daily financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
    2. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting through Xero.
    3. Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  2. Xero Expertise
    1. Leverage Xero's features to optimize financial operations.
    2. Audit Xero records regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    3. Train and support team members and clients on Xero usage.
  3. Financial Reporting and Analysis
    1. Develop detailed financial reports, including cash flow analysis and business performance metrics.
    2. Analyze financial data to provide strategic recommendations for improving financial health.
  4. Regulatory Compliance
    1. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
    2. Support tax preparations and collaborate with external auditors as needed.
  5. Collaboration and Leadership
    1. Foster strong relationships with management and department heads.
    2. Share insights and guidance on financial best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or similar role.
  2. Advanced expertise in Xero Accounting software.
  3. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  4. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  5. Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a remote work environment.
  6. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIMA) highly valued.
