Financial Operations Specialist

The role of a financial operations specialist is vital in managing the financial activities of an organization. They are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, preparing financial statements, and adhering to accounting principles and regulations.

This position plays a key part in maintaining the financial health of the company by managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. This involves utilizing accounting software such as Quickbooks, Xero, Intacct, and NetSuite to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as Quickbooks, Xero, Intacct, and NetSuite.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Generate timely and insightful financial reports for management review.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks, Xero, Intacct, and NetSuite.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
