Senior Java Software Developer Role

This role requires a highly skilled individual to drive innovation in software development, cybersecurity, and big data technology. As part of our global IT team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, including unit testing, code deployment, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with different cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features and improvements within an agile development environment.
  • Build and optimize APIs to enable seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in software development, particularly in backend tech stacks, with at least 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience working with Java or Go, with at least 3-5 years of experience.
  • Significant experience in Agile Development, DevOps, and Test Driven Design, with at least 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong experience with unit testing, Test-Driven Development, code review, continuous integration, continuous delivery & DevOps practices, with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, AWS, with at least 1 year of experience.

Complementary competencies include:

  • Solid knowledge of RESTful services and different architectures.
  • Familiarity with version control and defect tracking tools like GIT, JIRA.
  • Strong Communication, problem-solving, and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with container environments, Docker.
  • Familiarity with database management SQL/NoSQL and experience integrating databases with backend systems.
