We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, responsible for managing costs and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret bid drawings and specifications to determine materials cost and availability.
• Determine materials and labor quantities to generate cost proposals.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site inspections to determine full project scope and actual site conditions.
• Collect and prepare documents for technical submittals.
• Coordinate with the production department and technical team for mock-up drawings and samples.
• Provide cost advice during the design process.
• Identify project risks and give recommendations to eliminate and/or mitigate these.
• Participate in technical clarification meetings to gather pertinent details and ensure accurate cost estimates.
• Revise cost estimates as needed.
• Participate in kick-off meetings to discuss scope, site conditions, bill of quantities, and special instructions with the project team.
• Advise the purchasing team on materials specifications, costs, and vendors.
• Stay up-to-date with government rules and legislation that may impact contract execution and construction project costs.
• Stay informed about new standards, regulations, technological innovations, and learning opportunities in the field of cost engineering.
• Participate in post-project review activities, analyzing bid contracts, variation orders, and actual project costs to capture learnings and document them for future reference.
