Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in designing and deploying scalable, efficient solutions using Azure cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the company's Azure Data Platform.
  • Work closely with data architects, developers, data scientists, and engineers to plan and refine solution designs.
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality, efficient solutions.
  • Partner with teams to gather requirements, define scope, and manage project expectations.
  • Maintain knowledge of Azure Data Platform services (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Cognitive Services, Cosmos DB, etc.).
  • Integrate data from multiple systems such as SAP, Salesforce, databases, SCADA, and PIMS.
  • Stay current with Azure best practices and industry trends, applying them to improve our solutions.
  • Monitor performance and scalability, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Work with operations teams to ensure the solution is secure, compliant, and always available.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Oversee AI model deployment on Azure and monitor their performance.
  • Create prototypes and innovative solutions to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Build and manage data warehouses, data lakehouses, and real-time data streaming solutions.
  • Automate data processes through orchestration workflows.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and privacy while making data easy to access and use.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in similar positions, with a focus on Azure Data Platform.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Master's in Business or Data Science/Analytics is a plus.
  • Must possess either DP-203 Azure Data Engineer Associate Certification or AZ-305 Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions Certification.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
  • Expertise in data platforms (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse).
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services: Data Lake, Databricks, Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Cognitive Services, Cosmos DB, etc.
  • Ability to design scalable, efficient Azure solutions.
  • Familiarity with data management principles, data integration, and DAMA capabilities.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and remotely.
