Our company is seeking a highly skilled Sales Tax Accountant to join our team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimated liabilities and submit filings monthly.
  • Work with clients and authorities to resolve filings and current statuses.
  • Assist with special client projects (late/amended returns, audits, updating state information).
  • Update internal documentation, workflows, and processes.

The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in accounting or auditing, strong spreadsheet skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients. They should be detail-oriented, have excellent time management skills, and be able to multitask.

Job Description:

  • Manage sales tax filings, client communications, and process improvements for multiple clients.
  • Prepare and submit sales tax filings; ensure client data is accurate and formatted for tax software.
  • Monitor clients' tax collection variances; identify issues and resolve them with clients as needed.
  • Assist with time-critical issues, including notices from state tax authorities.
