**Job Summary:**
Tenet Global Business Center, Inc. is seeking a skilled Coding Education Specialist to administer medical coding training modules and ensure that trainees can apply their learning in an operations environment.
The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience performing medical record coding in an acute care setting and three years of experience in performing medical coder training. A Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related Allied Health discipline is required. The successful candidate will be proficient in diagnosis coding guidelines, including facility-specific rules and regulations, Coding Clinics, and other relevant standards.
**Responsibilities:**
- Create and design coding education materials.
- Administer Conifer-approved medical coding training modules as part of the Conifer Coding University.
- Successfully train coders for credentials or certifications appropriate for patient type.
- Maintain current knowledge of AHA Official Coding and Reporting Guidelines, CMS, and other agency directives for ICD-10-CM, PCS coding, and CPT.
- Attend mandatory coding seminars on an annual basis.
**Requirements:**
- Three to five years of experience performing medical record coding in an acute care setting.
- Three years of experience in performing medical coder training.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related Allied Health discipline.
- AHIMA CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification, or AAPC Certification appropriate to patient type.
