Senior Medical Writer Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Medical Writer to develop accurate and engaging content for various audiences in the healthcare industry.

This position requires strong science or healthcare knowledge combined with creative writing skills to produce high-quality content for campaigns, patient education materials, and medical slide decks.

The ideal candidate will have excellent English communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex medical concepts into clear and concise copy, creating medical slide decks, websites, and branded campaign assets, and ensuring accuracy and quality of all content.

To succeed in this position, you will need to stay up-to-date on current trends in medical education and pharma industry developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate and engaging content for various audiences in the healthcare industry
  • Create high-quality content for campaigns, patient education materials, and medical slide decks
  • Translate complex medical concepts into clear and concise copy
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of all content
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends in medical education and pharma industry developments

Requirements:

  • Preferably with a Bachelor's Degree or PhD in any science or medical field
  • At least 2 to 5 years of medical writing experience, including creating medical or scientific content for clinical trials, doctors, healthcare, and the public
  • Experience in pharma agency work is a great advantage
  • Knowledge of Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (preferred but not required; can be trained)
  • Knowledge of using Veeva/PromoMats (preferred but not required; can be trained)
