Job Title: Technical Expert

About the Role

This position is a critical part of our development team, focusing on maintaining and enhancing existing systems. As a Technical Expert, you will work directly under the Development Team Leader and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address system needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve system functionality through maintenance and enhancements.
  • Investigate and resolve reported issues promptly.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of legacy and database systems/applications.
  • Develop test cases and conduct thorough testing of code developed by yourself and others.
  • Provide support to the wider development team as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to accurately scope and design system requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for internal systems, APIs, and databases.
  • Ensure adherence to industry-leading security best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably within telecommunications.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience working in remote-based teams.
  • Expertise in database design, implementation, and management.
  • Strong understanding of SQL queries.
  • Proficiency in PHP programming language and Github version control system.
  • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve when necessary.
