Senior Audit Position Overview

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Audit Senior to lead audits from fieldwork through to final reports, ensuring top-quality results every step of the way.

  • Prepare accurate and professional financial statements and audit reports by planning each audit thoroughly and briefing team members on key risks.

Audit Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear, concise financial statements and audit reports that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Plan each audit with precision, setting the team up for success and identifying potential risks.
  • Brief team members on key risks to ensure everyone is confident going in and aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Meet with clients to review their information and build strong working relationships, fostering open communication and trust.
  • Compile books and record lists to maintain organization and efficiency throughout the audit process.
  • Update and roll forward planning sections of the audit file to keep audits running smoothly and on schedule.

About You:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree and CPA qualification, preferably with UK audit experience.
  • Possess 4+ years' external statutory audit experience, ideally trained at a Top 10 audit firm.
  • Have exposure across multiple industries, particularly outside banking/financial services.
  • Be able to develop audit strategies and terms of engagement, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
  • Possess a working knowledge of IFRS, Irish GAAP, UK GAAP (including FRS 102), and current technical updates.
