Job Overview

This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on plant operations and infrastructure development.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute end-to-end powerline installation projects, including substations, transformers, switchgears, and related high-voltage infrastructure.
  • Develop and review power connection designs, single-line diagrams, and load distribution plans to ensure efficient and reliable power delivery.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitoring to ensure proper implementation of electrical systems and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and utility providers to ensure timely and compliant project execution.
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment in accordance with project specifications.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to high-voltage equipment and provide immediate technical support during construction and operational phases.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with local electrical codes, industry standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Support ongoing operations by ensuring stable and efficient electrical supply to plant equipment and facilities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:


  • Licensed Electrical Engineer
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and have worked on a greenfield project (from ground up).
  • Experienced in managing end-to-end electrical works, from doing power connection and electrical system designs up to powerline installation, including transformer and substation setup
  • Strong expertise in high-voltage systems (69kV and above), including powerline installation, substation, and transformer setup
  • Proficient in power connection design, load calculations, and system layout planning
  • Experience in site monitoring, project supervision, and contractor coordination for electrical works
  • Familiar with local electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project execution skills
