Medical Content Writer

We are seeking an experienced Medical Content Writer to join our team. As a key member of our content development team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, medically accurate communications that engage and inform various audiences.

The ideal candidate will have a strong science or healthcare background combined with exceptional writing skills, enabling them to produce compelling content for branded campaigns, patient education materials, and medical slide decks.

  • Translate complex medical/scientific concepts into clear and concise copy that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Create comprehensive medical slide decks, websites, branded campaign assets, and patient education materials that meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Drive the editorial process from first draft to final proof, ensuring the integrity and precision of all content.
  • Collaborate closely with design, strategy, account managers, and project management teams to deliver seamless results.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Participate in scientific meetings, advisory boards, and client meetings to stay informed and up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Contribute research and content to proposals and pitch presentations, showcasing your expertise and creativity.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in medical education and pharma industry developments, applying this knowledge to enhance your work.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or PhD in any science or medical field.
  • At least 2 to 5 years of medical writing experience, including creating medical or scientific content for clinical trials, doctors, healthcare, and the public.
  • Experience in pharma agency work is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (desired but not essential; can be trained).
  • Proficiency in using Veeva/PromoMats (desired but not essential; can be trained).
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure all content is on-brand and compliant.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with adaptability and openness to learning.
  • Amenable to work from home.
  • Amenable to work standard business hours (7 AM to 4 PM).
