Collaboration Platform Specialist

This role is focused on configuring and maintaining SharePoint Online to support organisational collaboration, data management, and digital transformation initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Configure and customise SharePoint Online sites, subsites, lists, libraries, and metadata to ensure seamless data management and usability.
  • Develop page layouts, web parts, and workflows to streamline business processes and improve productivity.
  • Set up secure and user-friendly document libraries, team sites, and communication sites to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Implement and manage user permissions, access levels, and content governance to maintain information security and integrity.
  • Integrate Power Automate and Power Apps to automate workflows and streamline operations, enhancing the overall efficiency of the organisation.
  • Work closely with business units (service, sales, operations, finance) to gather requirements and configure solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Support AI-enabled document retrieval (e.g., Copilot integration for FAQs and product manuals) to enhance the employee experience and improve knowledge discovery.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to SharePoint users, ensuring they have the necessary skills to effectively use the platform.
  • Maintain governance standards, ensuring consistent structure and usability across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with IT to align SharePoint development with company-wide digital goals and strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience configuring and managing SharePoint Online.
  • Strong knowledge of site structure, lists, libraries, and permissions, as well as experience with setting up SharePoint applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Power Automate, Power Apps, Teams).
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript for customisation and development.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail with focus on usability and governance, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
