Job Title: Prior Authorization Specialist

A highly organized and detail-oriented professional is needed to support a busy Endocrinology practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations for medications, diagnostic tests, and procedures.
  • Manage patient scheduling with accuracy and efficiency in coordination with the Endocrinology team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding authorization requirements, scheduling, and preparation needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize delays.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and insurance portals.

This role requires knowledge of insurance processes, benefits verification, and prior authorization workflows. A neutral or clear accent is essential for effective patient communication.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years' experience in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and/or medical scheduling. They must be able to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
