Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust backend systems and APIs that power scalable, high-performing applications.


The ideal candidate will have experience in building public-facing API products, with strong programming skills in Python, expertise in frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI, and a solid understanding of full-stack technologies required to build and run APIs.


You will work closely with frontend developers, product teams, and stakeholders to align backend architecture with product needs, and collaborate with other engineers to ensure seamless integration of all components.


The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working with AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, and the Serverless Stack, and a strong grasp of CI/CD methodologies and ability to build and maintain pipelines effectively.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5 years of backend software development experience
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with expertise in frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI
  • Highly proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL, with experience in geospatial extensions such as PostGIS
  • Solid understanding of full-stack technologies required to build and run APIs
  • Skilled in RESTful API design and management, ensuring scalability and performance
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, and the Serverless Stack
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven technologies such as webhooks
  • Production-level experience with observability tools such as Datadog or New Relic
