We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AR Collections Specialist to optimize revenue cycles and ensure timely collections.
Key Responsibilities- Manage accounts receivable processes efficiently and effectively.
- Review and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and payment posting issues.
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to address payment issues.
- Utilize Athena Health EMR system to track and manage accounts receivable activities.
- Analyze AR aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on delinquency levels.
- Proven experience as an AR Collections Specialist or similar role in healthcare.
- Proficiency in using Athena Health EMR system.
- Strong understanding of medical billing and insurance claims processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare AR collections.
