As a Geospatial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting project design, feasibility assessments, and implementation of projects involving remote sensing and geospatial data.
- Support the analysis and modeling of remote sensing and geospatial data for various applications such as land cover/use mapping, fire risk assessment, above-ground biomass estimation, and deforestation risk modeling.
- Utilize cutting-edge technologies like cloud computing, machine learning, and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, SQL) to build automated workflows, enhance geospatial infrastructure, and support Monitoring, Reporting & Verification (MRV) processes.
- Assist in field data collection through drone coordination and validation activities, provide technical guidance and training, and ensure geospatial quality control across teams.
Design and implement effective remote sensing solutions for environmental projects. Develop and deploy machine learning models for image classification and segmentation using techniques like Random Forest, Linear Regression, and Artificial Neural Networks.
- Apply advanced remote sensing analysis and modeling techniques for image processing, change detection, and land trend analysis.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality geospatial data and outputs.
A strong emphasis is placed on clear documentation, reporting, and communication of remote sensing outputs for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including support for external verification and project documentation under standards like Verra.
