Cybersecurity Risk Consultant Position

Carlos Hilado Memorial State University is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Risk Consultant to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual with expertise in cyber security concepts, risk and controls, and ability to use logic and reasoning.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging in various projects including Cyber Transformation, Cyber Defense Operations, Identity and Access Management, and Data Protection and Privacy.
Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Risk Consultant, you will work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress.

  • You will also be required to keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments, research and evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Executing engagement requirements with minimum guidance from senior team members.
  • Helping to prepare reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties.
  • Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel.
  • Building strong internal relationships within Carlos Hilado Memorial State University and with other services across the organization.
  • Contribute to people-related initiatives including recruiting and retaining Cyber Security professionals.
  • Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills.
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.
  • Foster teamwork and lead by example.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in organization-wide people initiatives.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, IT, Cyber Security, Business or related discipline.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for cyber security.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English).
  • Be open to flexible working hours.
