As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and analysis team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in gathering, developing, and consolidating annual and mid-year budgets and forecasts in collaboration with cost center managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support near- and long-term Profit & Loss forecasting
  • Aid in financial budget/forecast revisions focusing on cost reduction
  • Prepare and process monthly budgets to actual review reports for cost center managers
  • Consolidate feedback and address concerns from cost center managers
  • Assist in preparing management reports related to monthly variance analysis
  • Support financial reviews, presentations, and discussions with cost center managers and senior leadership

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
  • One to three years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software
  • Knowledgeable of US and PH accounting principles and standards
  • Previous working experience as an offshore staff is highly advantageous

What You Will Do:

Budget Review:
  • Preparing and processing cost center managers' monthly budget to actual review reports
Budget Management:
  • Assisting in data gathering, developing, and consolidating annual and mid-year budgets and forecasts, collaborating with cost center managers
Profit & Loss Forecast:
  • Supporting the near-and long-term P&L forecast
Variance Analysis:
  • Conducting variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures
Cost Reduction:
  • Aiding with ongoing regular financial budget/forecast reviews and revisions focusing on cost reduction
Administrative Assistance:
  • Supporting the FP&A team in conducting financial reviews, presentations, and discussions with cost center managers and senior leadership

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of accounting regulations and procedures and have a strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.
