Job Overview

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reviewing contract documents and technical specifications to identify design requirements and constraints.
  • Coordinating with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to integrate design elements and resolve technical issues.
  • Monitoring design progress and quality to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Maintaining design standards and best practices to support the company's commitment to quality and innovation.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior design professionals.
  • Collaborating with the estimating and procurement teams to optimize design solutions for cost-effectiveness.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid license.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a design services or contracts management role within the construction industry.
  • Proven ability to manage design teams and coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Primavera, and MS Project.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or any related field.
  • Knowledge of contract administration and dispute resolution processes.
