Senior Tax & Advisory Accountant | Full-Time & Remote Opportunity

A seasoned accountant with expertise in tax planning and compliance is sought to join a leading accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in Australian tax, specializing in SMEs.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage client portfolios, ensuring accurate financial statements and tax returns are prepared and submitted on time.
  • Conduct tax research, provide strategic advice, and assist with business structuring to optimize client outcomes.
  • Prepare year-end financial statements, manage BAS and IAS lodgments, and liaise with the ATO as needed.
  • Support clients with onboarding, process improvements, and workflow enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Australian tax within an accounting firm, specializing in SMEs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Australian tax regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in management reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software and familiarity with Fathom or similar tools.
