About the Role
We are seeking an Administrative Accounting Specialist to join our team at PGA SOMPO INSURANCE CORPORATION. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Processing: Process payment requests to suppliers, service providers, and other non-insurance related transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Expense Management: Accurately charge expenses to accounts and cost centers, analyzing invoice/expense documents and recording entries.
- Cash Advances: Monitor employee cash advances to ensure timely liquidation and proper booking.
- Reconciliation: Prepare monthly monitoring and reconciliation of all general and administrative expenses.
- Tax Compliance: Maintain necessary schedules for encoding and e-filing of BIR Returns, and reconcile assigned tax-related accounts to ensure accuracy of balances.
- Records Management: Provide effective monitoring and records management of original Payment Vouchers and other documents in accordance with records retention policies.
- Support Services: Prepare required schedules and support during year-end audit and examination by regulators.
- Data Security: Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information and customer data.
- Ongoing Duties: Perform other duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year related working experience.
- Familiarity with basic Accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
