Job Description

This role involves maintaining computer networks, including mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware. You will also be responsible for managing and monitoring installed systems and infrastructure, installing and configuring network equipment, and managing firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain the overall health and performance of our computer networks.
  2. Monitor and troubleshoot system issues to ensure maximum uptime.
  3. Install and configure network equipment, such as routers and switches.
  4. Manage firewall rules and update virus protection software to ensure data security.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies to protect our systems.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, SD-WAN, VPN, and Load balancing, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • In-depth knowledge with MS365 Active Directory, Azure, Cisco, and Fortinet firewall.
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
