Compensation Specialist

This role is designed for experienced payroll professionals to handle bi-weekly, weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees across multiple Employer Identification Numbers (EINs).

The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of payroll practices and regulations, a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational and time management skills, the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as comfort working with payroll/timekeeping systems.

• Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for employees across multiple EINs.
• Data Management: Enter, audit, and maintain payroll data such as hours, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Review and validate time file submissions and resolve discrepancies with managers.
• Reporting and Reconciliations: Assist with payroll-related reporting and reconciliations.
• Candidate Support: Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, timekeeping, and pay statements.
• Record Keeping: Maintain payroll records and support audits or compliance requests as needed.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance to support accurate payroll processing and reporting.

• Education: Graduate of Payroll, HR, Accounting, or any related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience.
• Payroll Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of payroll practices and regulations.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Confidentiality: Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with payroll/timekeeping systems.
