Job Title: CAD Operator

As a CAD Operator, you will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining critical infrastructure projects by building and updating base maps, profiles, and permit-ready documentation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft high-quality base maps and plan/profile drawings from OSP designs to meet permitting requirements.
  • Import/export GIS data and extract content from DWG files with ease.
  • Conduct thorough Right-of-Way research and produce custom annotations for imported data.
  • Perform quality audits on CAD drawings created by others to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Leverage AutoCAD MAP3D, Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS, and LISP routes for drafting workflows that drive efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in permitting or utility drafting, with a strong focus on precision and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS and AutoCAD MAP3D 2024 or newer, with the ability to adapt to new software and technologies.
  • Intermediate experience using LISP routes and Excel, with a solid understanding of data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro or QGIS, with a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
