We are seeking a highly skilled Business Data Analyst to join our team at EastWest Bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability of proper data, infrastructure, and systems to the HR Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily data processing activities from receipt of system extracts until data delivery to HR users.
  • Troubleshoot and implement early detection activities to capture data issues.
  • Conduct data testing to verify that the appropriate fix is applied.
  • Explore, analyze, enhance, and operationalize checkpoints and data monitoring processes by developing and executing validation rules.
  • Address data management requirements to support internal critical projects and reporting by effectively handling data sourcing, collection, storage, data quality analysis, report and information generation, and deployment.
  • Collect requirements from various stakeholders on Data Visualization Needs.
  • Create dashboards using visualization tools.
  • Create various SQL (or related) scripts to transform data accordingly.

Automating Processes

  • Automate processes using software development programs (Macros, VBA, SQL, Power Apps, Power Automate, etc).

New Data Source Management

  • Liaise with HR and IT to understand both technical and business details of new user information requirements and their impact on existing data systems.
  • Publish new data elements/sources to users and provide guidance.

Innovation and Process Improvement Initiatives

  • Conduct research, assessment, testing, and recommend new tools and methodologies to improve the efficiency of team processes.
  • Plan and implement deployment and conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
