Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Design Specialist to join our team at Active control automation and industrial sales corporation.

About the Role

The CAD Design Specialist will be responsible for creating detailed designs, drawings, and plans using AutoCAD software. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Preparation: Prepare accurate and complete design packages, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Client Communication: Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and provide timely responses to their inquiries.
  • Engineering Data Review: Review engineering data to ensure compliance with project specifications and original design plans.
  • Design Modifications: Modify existing drawings as required by clients or projects.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver projects on time and within budget constraints.
  • Design Analysis: Analyze and evaluate project designs to ensure they meet client expectations.
  • CAD Support: Provide CAD support to project management as needed.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and implement solutions to project issues within project scope and requirements.
  • Documentation: Prepare submittal documentation and maintain organized file systems for As-Built Drawings and associated records.
  • Manual Drawing: Use manual drawing skills for plans that cannot be generated using computer software.
  • Site Visits: Visit customer sites to collect data for drawing purposes.
  • Job Order Form: Prepare and create job order forms for fabrication shops.
  • Product Database: Contribute to maintaining product photo databases.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant design tools.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in design preparation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with clients and project management.
