Loan Officer Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive loan officer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing loan applications, gathering required documents and information from clients, reviewing and verifying financial documents, preparing and submitting loan applications through lender systems, tracking progress of applications, and providing timely updates to clients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain processes clearly to clients, strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial documents, proficiency in loan processing platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently and efficiently under deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with clients to gather required documents and information for loan applications.
  • Reviewing and verifying financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with lender requirements.
  • Preparing and submitting loan applications through the appropriate lender systems.
  • Tracking progress of applications and providing clients with timely updates.
  • Communicating with lenders, banks, and brokers to follow up on outstanding items and ensure smooth processing.
  • Maintaining organised digital records of all loan files and supporting documents.
  • Supporting brokers with administrative tasks, including preparation of compliance documents and client communications.
  • Handling client inquiries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a positive experience throughout the loan process.
  • Identifying and escalating potential issues or delays proactively.

The successful candidate will possess a minimum 2 years' experience in loan processing, mortgage broking, or financial services administration. They will also have a strong understanding of loan application processes, compliance requirements, and lender documentation. Additionally, they will have excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and proficiency in loan processing platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
