About the Opportunity

This is a unique chance to work with the Asian Development Bank, a leading international development finance institution. As a Senior Investment Specialist, you will contribute to the bank's mission of alleviating poverty and promoting sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging expertise to identify and develop financial sector projects aligned with ADB's strategic goals
  • Leading end-to-end processing of financial sector projects from concept development through Board approval and financial closure
  • Developing and implementing effective due diligence processes, including financial modeling, risk analysis, and mitigation strategies
  • Overseeing internal approvals process, coordinating with credit, safeguards, integrity, legal, and other teams
  • Ensuring successful deal closure, working with internal and external counsel to finalize legal documentation following approvals
  • Leading implementation and administration of private sector investments in financial institutions

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A Master's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in closing loan or equity transactions with financial institutions
  • Hands-on experience in analyzing credit risks, structuring, and executing loans and equity investments
  • Demonstrated international experience working across multiple countries, including developing markets
  • Capability in drafting high-quality investment proposals and Board papers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial instruments, risk mitigation, and investment structuring in developing and emerging markets
  • Team management skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff
