About This Role

The Assistant Principal for Operations and Compliance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of schoolwide processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Leadership
  • This individual is responsible for managing the launch and execution of all QAS Core Processes, including launching and executing the school year.
  • They update and improve QAS Core Process documentation to reflect current practices.
  • Weekly process status updates are provided to the Principal.
  • Instructional Leadership Support
  • The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in providing instructional leadership, including preparation for department meetings by identifying issues and formulating meeting agendas.
  • Support is provided for curriculum planning, review, and implementation.
  • Collaboration with instructional coaches and department heads ensures quality instruction.
  • Professional development initiatives and follow-ups are coordinated.
  • Supervision & Staff Coordination
  • Evaluation of lay staff, including scheduling, data collection, and documentation, is assisted with.
  • Teacher and staff responsibilities are supervised in accordance with school policies.
  • Disciplinary follow-up and faculty adherence to expectations are ensured.
  • New teachers are assisted with onboarding.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree or higher, with a concentration in Educational Administration.
  • Minimum of ten years of successful teaching experience.
  • Minimum of five years in school leadership (e.g., department head, coach, or assistant principal).
  • Skilled in launching, executing, and refining schoolwide core processes.
  • Able to adapt processes and strategies to evolving school needs and priorities.
  • Technological proficiency, especially with LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas) and digital tools (e.g. Formative, Class Kick).
  • Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable and effective in a remote work environment.
