Embedded Linux is a key component in modern IoT and other devices. As an Embedded Linux Expert, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of Canonical technology with customer needs.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with distribution packaging, software design, system debugging, and bringing customer ideas to life. They must be proficient in Debian or Ubuntu and have a solid understanding of embedded Linux (Yocto, Buildroot...).

They will engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain Canonical technology. The expert will elaborate solutions to be proposed to prospective clients, participate in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux, and convey market requirements to key stakeholders.

This role requires a strong passion for Linux and a deep understanding of its inner workings. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions using Canonical technology.

• Fluent in Mandarin and willing to travel to China regularly
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Extensive Linux experience - Debian or Ubuntu preferred
• Distribution/Packaging experience (deb, rpm, ...)
• Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot...)
• Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
• Professional written and spoken English in addition to the local language
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Result-oriented, ability to multi-task
