About the Job

We are seeking an experienced compliance professional to join our team as an Operational Compliance Specialist. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration of suppliers with regulatory and internal requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Verify supplier compliance status before vessel arrival, utilizing our proprietary database to ensure accurate information.
  • Closely monitor and analyze supplier performance against industry standards and benchmarks.
  • Provide timely alerts to relevant stakeholders in case of any changes in supplier compliance status.
  • Ensure that all supplier documentation meets both regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Hub Agents to validate supplier credentials and approvals.
  • Maintain meticulous records of compliance checks and supplier status for easy reference.
  • Elevate non-compliance issues to the Compliance team, initiating swift corrective actions when necessary.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Timely identification and reporting of non-compliant suppliers, contributing to a safe and compliant supply chain.
  • Accuracy and completeness of compliance checks prior to port calls, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Detailed documentation and traceability of compliance verification activities, facilitating efficient auditing.
  • Absolute adherence to internal processes and regulatory requirements, upholding our company's high standards.
  • Effective communication and escalation of compliance risks, fostering open collaboration within the organization.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in project management would be advantageous in this role.
  • Familiarity with financial processes and systems is mandatory for success.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, is required.
  • Knowledge of a secondary language would be beneficial in this multicultural environment.
  • Experience in data analysis using Power BI is highly valued.
