Job Summary

  • A Senior IT Auditor is responsible for evaluating and improving internal controls, IT systems, and risk management processes.
  • This role contributes to the development of audit strategies and leads or supports IT-focused audits.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop audit methodologies and annual audit plans.
  2. Plan, execute, and document IT audits aligned with the audit plan.
  3. Assess Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICFR) including IT process walkthroughs, control testing, and reporting.
  4. Ensure complete, accurate, and thorough audit documentation.
  5. Prepare high-quality audit workpapers and formal reports detailing observations and recommendations.
  6. Identify internal control weaknesses and follow up on remediation.
  7. Collaborate with control owners and external auditors throughout the audit lifecycle.
  8. Educate stakeholders on internal control requirements and promote audit awareness.
  9. Stay current on business technology, accounting standards, and regulatory changes affecting IT and audit practices.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in public accounting or internal audit.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of IT systems, controls, and processes.
  • Proficiency in auditing IT General Controls (ITGCs), automated controls, and key reports supporting financial processes.
  • Knowledge of internal control frameworks such as COSO and COBIT.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
