Senior Tax Accountant

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business and overseeing various tasks. Your responsibilities will include processing financial statements for lodgement with the Australian Taxation Office, preparing Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements, and maintaining general ledgers.

  • Preparing private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and End of Year compliance jobs
  • Maintaining Division 7a loan expertise
  • Completing tax reporting in a timely manner
  • Preparing and updating tax provision schedules
  • Researching and correcting process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiating with tax authorities over tax payment issues
  • Mentoring and reviewing work for junior accountants

We are seeking an exceptional individual who is passionate and competent in their work, bringing the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of Accountancy or Accounting Technology; Advantage if CPA licensed
  • Total of more than 4 years accounting and tax experience, with 4+ years of experience in AU tax accounting
  • Leadership capabilities and interest in leading teams in the future
  • Advantage if with experiences in an accounting/audit firm
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Attentive to details and organized
  • Good time management skills
