Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Guidance Counselor to work closely with our students, teachers, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. As a Guidance Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Providing guidance and counseling services to students on academic, personal, and social matters.
    – This includes helping students set goals, develop study habits, and manage stress and emotions.

• Collaborating with teachers to identify student needs and develop strategies to support their learning.
    – This includes working with teachers to identify areas where students may need additional support or enrichment opportunities.

• Communicating effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
    – This includes sharing information about student achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.

• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communicating this information to relevant parties as needed.
    – This includes keeping track of student attendance, grades, and any incidents that may affect their learning.

• Staying up-to-date with best practices in guidance counseling and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field, or a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling or a related field.
    – This includes equivalent qualifications from other countries or institutions.

• At least one year of experience in a guidance counseling role, preferably in an educational setting.
    – This includes experience working with students of various ages and backgrounds.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    – This includes the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents, and to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    – This includes maintaining accurate records and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    – This includes respecting student confidentiality and handling sensitive situations with care and professionalism.

• Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
    – This includes being flexible and open to feedback and suggestions from colleagues and supervisors.
