Job Summary:
The Tax Compliance Officer is a vital member of the finance team at McKupler Inc., responsible for ensuring adherence to all applicable tax laws and regulations. Key duties include managing tax compliance, preparing and filing tax returns, tax planning, and staying updated on changes in tax legislation. Additionally, this role involves overseeing other compliance-related matters as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance:
    1. Prepare and file required federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and on time, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
    2. Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
    3. Maintain accurate and organized tax records.
    4. Monitor and analyze changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
    5. Implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liability.
    6. Collaborate with external tax advisors as needed.
  • Compliance:
    1. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
    2. Monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations beyond tax, as assigned.
    3. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance.
    4. Prepare and submit compliance reports.
    5. Stay up-to-date on changes in relevant laws and regulations.
    6. Work with other departments to ensure compliance.
  • Other Duties:
    1. Assist with financial reporting and analysis as needed.
    2. Participate in special projects as assigned.
    3. Perform other related duties as required.
