The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing comprehensive safety programmes to mitigate risks and prevent accidents on construction sites.
  2. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
  3. Providing training and guidance to construction site workers on safety best practices and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  4. Investigating and documenting incidents, accidents and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  5. Maintaining compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.

  1. A relevant degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  3. A thorough understanding of construction safety regulations, industry best practices, and risk management principles.
  4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address safety challenges.
  5. Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
