Job Description

The Regional Sales Specialist is a critical role within Malayan Insurance Co., Inc. (MICO), responsible for driving sales and marketing activities in their region. This position requires a strong understanding of insurance products and services, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Main Duties

The Regional Sales Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Conducting product presentations and engaging with clients.
  • Liaising with agents and clients, conducting product presentations, and performing marketing functions.
  • Assisting the Regional Head in reviewing Underwriting and Claims referrals.
  • Handling system approvals for claims and policy tagging under regional authority.
  • Serving as a back-up in-house adjuster for branches to manage claim volume and ensure timely processing.
  • Preparing various monthly reports and analyzing figures for strategic decision-making.
  • Reviewing the production metrics of each branch in the region and providing insights.
  • Maintaining office files and records of the Region, ensuring proper organization and follow-up.
  • Providing administrative support, including coordination with the Branches.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in sales and marketing.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and marketing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of insurance products and services.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and developments.
