About the Role

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to develop and enhance our mobile app, ensuring high performance and a seamless user experience.

As part of our small team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the app's features and functionality.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in React Native and React.js, as well as experience with Next.js and Tailwind CSS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the mobile app using React Native
  • Manage full app release cycles for Google Play Store and Apple App Store
  • Ensure app performance, usability, and compliance with app store guidelines
  • Implement new features and promptly fix bugs to maintain a seamless user experience
  • Integrate and manage third-party services (payments, email services, social authentication, push notifications, deep links)
  • Support ongoing maintenance and feature development of the company website (Next.js, Tailwind CSS)
  • Collaborate with designers and marketing to ensure digital consistency
  • Respond to internal IT inquiries and introduce new systems when needed
  • Maintain documentation and evaluate emerging tools, technologies, and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, software development, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in mobile app development
  • Strong proficiency with React Native and React.js
  • Familiarity with Next.js and Tailwind CSS
  • Experience deploying apps to Google Play Store and Apple App Store
  • Basic knowledge of native Android/iOS development principles
  • Understanding of mobile app architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design and ability to translate designs into functional interfaces
  • Experience with Git and modern development workflows
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with analytics and crash reporting tools (e.g., Firebase, Sentry)
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for mobile development
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices

Work Arrangement

  • 10-20 hours a week, with the possibility of growing into a full-time role
  • Flexible working hours
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Interest in football a plus
  • Position will be virtual with occasional travel to Singapore
