Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agriculturist to join our team at Phil National Lines, Inc. as a key member of our agricultural operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the cultivation of crops, including selecting suitable varieties, preparing land, planting seeds, applying fertilizers and pesticides, and managing irrigation systems.
  • Monitor crop growth, health, and development, and implement strategies to optimize yields and quality.
  • Manage the care and breeding of livestock, such as cattle, poultry, pigs, and sheep, ensuring proper nutrition, housing, health care, and reproductive management to maximize productivity and profitability.
  • Assess soil fertility, structure, and composition, and implement soil conservation practices, such as crop rotation, cover cropping, and contour plowing, to improve soil health and prevent erosion.
  • Develop and implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to control pests, weeds, and diseases while minimizing reliance on chemical pesticides.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, including crop and animal husbandry, soil science, and pest management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
